Annette Postelle Pack, age 80, of Calhoun and formerly of Chatsworth, GA, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at her residence. Born on February 15, 1936 in Polk County to the late Marvin and Maudie Lowe Postelle, she had lived the past thirty years in Chatsworth before recently moving back to Calhoun. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed flowers, singing and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Wanda Green, Evelyn Poteet, Catherine Breeden, Barbara Stoops, and Naomi Shell.
She is survived by her husband, Cliff Pack of Calhoun; daughter, Bridgette Hammons and husband Joe of Riceville; son Winston Merrell and wife Carol of Calhoun; sisters, Peggy Cyree and husband David of Riceville, Gwendolyn Shell of Greasy Creek, Sandy Maron and husband George of Michigan; brother, Jack “ Buddy” Postelle of Greasy Creek; grandchildren, David Hammons and wife Mary of Riceville, Zabrina Hammons of Polk County, Samantha Woods and husband Marcus of Riceville, Crystal Hammond and husband Patrick of Englewood, Tabitha Yearwood and husband Daniel of Tellico Plains, Dwight Merrell and wife Amy of Etowah, Shawna Reigwlsperger of Etowah, Allison Thomas of Charleston, Gabriel Coker of Dalton, Brady Coker of Calhoun, Miranda Coker of Calhoun; great-grandchildren, Joshua Green of Englewood, Mia Hammond of Englewood, Katie Yearwood of Tellico Plains, Alex Yearwood of Tellico Plains, Kayley Thomas of Calhoun, Braxton Thomas of Calhoun, Steven Merrell and Sara Merell, both of Cleveland Cameron Merrell of Kentucky, Carlie Reigelsperger of Englewood, Zachary Chrisman of Polk County , Elias Hammons of Riceville, Summer Woods Cleveland, Adley Woods of Cleveland; and great-great grandchild , Blaklee Green of Englewood. Several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members also survive.
David Hammons, Josh Green, Dwight Merrell, Victor Emmons, Tim Poteet, Shane Shell, Mark Harris, and Derrick Bates will serve as active pallbearers and Doug Dillingham, Mitch Dillingham, Tony Herbst, Gary Poteet, Alan Breeden, Steve Breeden, Lee Stoops, Daniel Yearwood and Patrick Hammond will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2016 from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with Brother Vernon Webb officiating. Interment will follow in the Archville Baptist Church Cemetery
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, February 26, 2016 and from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday at the funeral home.
