Mary Sue Pickens Liner

Mary Sue Pickens Liner, age 71, of Calhoun, TN passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016 in a Chattanooga Hospital. She was born in McMinn County and grew up in the Claxton Community. She was a member of the Hiwassee Baptist Church, and is preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Katherine Wilson Pickens; and sisters, Pauline Yarber, Emma Peters, Nellie Dennis, Rachel Shamblin and Shirley Furr.

She is survived by her husband , Carlos Liner of Calhoun, two children, Rita Garringer of Calhoun and Carla Liner of Calhoun; two grandchildren, Chris Garringer (Heather) of Riceville and Brent Garringer of Calhoun; four great-grandchildren, Brycen & Gavin Garringer , Haylee & Jaxon Garringer; and one brother, James (J.R.) Pickens of Cleveland, TN.

A private family burial will be conducted on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at the Calhoun Baptist Church Cemetery with a very dear friend, Ronnie Pruiett officiating.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 from 5p.m.– 8p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel in Etowah.
