Terry Wayne Scott

 Terry “ Wayne” Scott, age 65, of Athens, passed away Monday, September 5, 2016, at his residence.  Born on September 3, 1951 in Harlan County , Kentucky, to the late George and Wilma Hill Scott, he  had spent the majority of his life in McMinn County.  Wayne was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and enjoyed music, motorcycles, and spending time with his family and friends.

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by  his sister, Peggy Scott; and brother, Jimmy Scott.

Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years, Jamie Torbett Scott of Athens, sisters, Janice ( Wayne)  Martin  and Carolyn Johnson both of Athens, and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and numerous friends.

 At Mr.Scott’s  request, his remains will be cremated and a private family service will be held at a later date.
