Robert “ Bobby” Frank, age 76, of Englewood, passed away Sunday evening, September 18, 2016, at his residence. Born on May 14, 1940 in Blount County to the late Elmer and Ora Mae Wells Frank, he had spent the last 13 years in McMinn County. Bobby was a of the Baptist faith and was an evangelist praising the Lord with his wife Mary singing and preaching throughout the Southeast United States and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Steven Frank; and brothers, R.E. and Buddy Frank.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Mary Frank of Englewood; sons, Robert Frank and Gary ( Linda) Frank ; brother Benton ( Mary ) Frank of Maryville ; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews; stepson, James (Pam) Pauley if Baron Springs, Virginia; stepdaughter, Teresa(Robert)Slate of Roanoke, Virginia; step-grandson, Joshua Slate of Roanoke, Virginia; and special adopted grandson, Steven Clowers of Englewood.
A Celebration of Life and Home going for Evangelist Bobby Frank will be held at 1p.m. Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with Brother Benton Frank and Brother Allen Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Baptist Church Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the services.
The family will receive friends from 11-1p.m. on Wednesday prior to the service.
