Linda Lou Henry

Linda Burger Henry, age 75, of Athens, passed away Monday, October 3, 2016, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville surrounded by her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles “Clifford” Burger and Stella Burger;  one sister Barbara Key and husband, Alfred Henry; son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Martha Henry; grandson, Greg Henry.

 She is survived by daughter, Valerie Henry; seven sons and daughters-in-law, Gary Henry, Larry and Marie Henry, Keith and Dana Henry, James Henry, Allen Henry, Ron and Missy Henry, and Bryan and Bobbie Joe Henry all of Athens; brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Mary Burger;  three sisters and brother- in- law, Ruby and Clyde Borden of Niota, Betty Ledford of Athens, and Bobbie Rollins of Michigan. Eighteen grandchildren, twenty eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11a.m. Friday, October 7, 2016 from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Moates officiating. Interment will follow in McMinn Memory Gardens.  Pallbearers are Eddie and Olen Borden, Casey Mason, Tyler Burger, Cody Clark, and Will Henry; Honorary pallbearers are Cody Burger, Michael Rutledge, and Bryan Henry.

The family will receive friends from 5-8p.m. Thursday, October 6th at the funeral home.
