Jessica Lynne DeBord

Jessica Lynne DeBord, age 31, of Etowah, passed away Saturday morning, October 8, 2016, at her residence. Born on January 7, 1985 to Ricky and Patricia Thompson DeBord, she was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, was of the Baptist faith, and attended McMinn Central High School.  Her beauty, dimpled smile, kindness, and ability to embarrass and create laughter for all who knew her will be sadly and greatly missed.

 Jessica was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Gary J. Thompson and Shirley J. Gore Thompson Patton; paternal grandfather, Ira DeBord;  Aunt Donna J. Biggam and uncle, Terry M. Thompson.

 She leaves behind the greatest gifts, joys and loves of her short life, her precious children, Dustin Hunt age 12, Kaitlyn Sage Hunt age 11, and Dalton Gage Parsons; she was a loving and devoted sister to her brother, R. Joshua DeBord, and sisters, Brandy and husband Brian Billings, Ashley DeBord , and Alyssa DeBord; granddaughter of Barbara DeBord all of Etowah;  and niece to Gary Thompson, Jr. of Athens, Ricky M. Thompson of Athens , Scott and wife Genie of York, South Carolina, Becky and Johnny Cole of Murfreesboro, Rhonda and Larry Reed of Englewood, and Tommy and Carlissa DeBord of Englewood.  Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members and true loving friends also survive. She now has her wings to be the free spirit she was.

A Celebration of Life and Home going for Jessica Lynne DeBord will be held at 7p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2016 from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with Brother Joe Hatcher officiating. Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends from 5-7p.m. on Wednesday prior to the service.
