Alberta Price Spakosky

Alberta Price Spakosky, age 90, of Delano, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at her residence. Born in New Jersey on March 10, 1926 to the late James and Minerva Havens Price, she had lived in Tennessee since 1978. She attended Covenant Baptist Church and loved the mountains, shopping with her sister Dolly, and spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Spakosky; son Leslie Spakosky, grandson, Phillip Spakosky; great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Flores; sisters, Phyllis Frame and Loretta Jessup; and brother, James Price.

Survivors include children, Richard Spakosky of Reliance, Eileen Spakosky of Pemberton, New Jersey, Jimmy Spakosky of Englewood, Timothy Spakosky of Stockbridge, Georgia,  Peter Spakosky of Madisonville, & Daughter-in-law Phyllis Spakosky Lane of Delano;  sisters, Dolly Miller of Athens and Kathleen Stevens of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania; and eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and other extended family.

A memorial service will be held at 2p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Stephensville Baptist Church in Etowah. The family will receive friends from 1-2p.m. prior to the service at the church.
