Betty Jane Miller

February 17, 1932 — November 26, 2016

Betty Jane Trotter Miller, age 84 of Etowah, passed away November 26, 2016.  Betty lived most of her life in Etowah where she worked for many years at U-Save and the LDJ store in Etowah.  She was of the Baptist faith and deeply loved God and her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Boskey and Vesta Simpson; her first husband Earl Trotter; son, Billy “Bill” Ray Trotter and daughter-in-law Christine Bryson Trotter; brothers, Howard Rains and Joe Birch Simpson and a sister, Gladys Bryson.

Survivors include her devoted husband of 31 years, Paul Miller; stepsons Kenneth Miller and Kris Miller of Colorado and Robert Miller (Sue) of Pennsylvania; grandsons, Kolton Trotter of Etowah and Kyle (Samantha) Trotter of Murfreesboro; sisters, Rosell Mullins of Sweetwater and Wanda Newman of Athens; several step grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express our thanks for the wonderful help and care given by Amedisys Hospice Care and McMinn Memorial Nursing Home.

A private graveside service was held Sunday, November 27th at Mars Hill Methodist Church Cemetery in Englewood, TN. With Chaplain Michael Jackson officiatin

Serenity Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Etowah was in charge of the arrangements.
