Marcy Gaye Long

Marcy Long, age 53, of Englewood, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2016, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.  Born on November 27, 1963 to  Gene Burke and Pat Judd Bates, she was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County.  She loved her animals, spending time with her family and friends and was of the Christian faith.

 She was preceded in death by her daughter, Faith Nicole Corum.

 In addition to her parents, Marcy is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Bobby Long of Englewood ; grandchildren, Devin and Malachi; siblings, Vicky Self of Georgia, Ricky Burke of Decatur, Susie Armstrong and husband Scott of Etowah, Cindy Green and husband Paul of Cleveland, and Tommy Burke of Athens; mother-in-law, Iva Lee Long of Etowah; sisters-in-law, Sherry Alfredo of Englewood and Betty and Walter Locke of Polk County. Several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members also survive.

 A private family service will be held at a later date.
