Melford Cecil Tinsley

 Melford “ Mel”  Tinsley, age 79, of Aiken, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, December 25,  2016, at his   home in Englewood, TN. Born on April 20, 1937 to the late Harold and Juanita Tinsley, he was a native and lifelong resident of Aiken, South Carolina. 

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kisty Deanna Tinsley; siblings,  Coma, Katherine, Christine, Janel, Mary Ann, Harold Jr, Jack,  and Bill Tinsley.

 Survivors include children, Kim Derrick of Englewood, Connie Jack of Englewood, Jeanie Tinsley of Niota, and Christopher Lee Tinsley of Englewood; sister, Shirley Tinsley of South Carolina; eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

  A graveside service will be held at 2p.m. on Friday December 30, 2016 at Aiken Memorial Gardens in Aiken, South Carolina.

 The family will receive friends from 5-7p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Serenity Funeral Home.
