Larry Edwin Nunley

Larry Edwin Nunley, age 66, of Athens, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017, at his residence.  Born on August 28, 1950 to the late Arthur and Ada Cornett Nunley, he was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County and attended Valley View Baptist Church. He loved motorcycles and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Reba Crabtree; and a brother, Paul Nunley.

 He is survived by daughters, Christy (Danny) Kyle of Athens and  Amy Nunley of Athens; grandchildren, Taylor Slack, Tyler Slack, Kenedee Slack, Krista Vest, and De De Nunley; great-grandchildren, Teegan Slack and Madelyn Vest; sister, Johnnie Smith of Alabama; brothers, Chris  (Linda Dodson) Nunley of Athens and Pad Nunley of Athens. Several nieces, nephews, and other extended family also survive.

At Mr. Nunley’s request, his family will hold a private service at a later date.
