Errol John “ Skip” Hendricks, age 68, of Crossville, passed away on January 14, 2017, at a Nashville hospital. The son of the late William Robert Hendricks, he spent a majority of his life in Monroe County and spending eighteen years in Jacksonville, Florida and the last nine years in Crossville. He proudly served his country in Vietnam as a member of the United States Marine Corps. Skip was a former Boy Scout leader in Jacksonville and a former member of the Tri- Community Volunteer Fire Department. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his daughter, Sheri Phillips and husband Richard of Niota; son, Anthony John “Tony” Hendricks of Crossville; and grandchildren Nikole and Shayann Phillips, Angel and Aiden Hendricks, Isaac Joshua Newman and James Errol John Hendricks along with several extended family members and friends.
A graveside service with military honors will conducted at 2p.m. Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Chestua Methodist Campground Community Church Cemetery at 6112 Highway 411 North in Madisonville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to a memorial fund for Skip at any Regions Bank.
