Paul Kenneth Miller, age 84, of Etowah, passed away Saturday morning, July 29, 2017, at a Chattanooga healthcare facility. A native of Englewood, he was the son of the late Fredrick and Ella Miller and a 1952 graduate of Englewood High School. Paul had retired after 20 years of service from the United States Air Force and was a recipient of the USAF Commendation Medal and the Soldier’s Medal. After his retirement from the Air Force, he went into sales and later became an independent truck driver. Paul loved to talk about the beautiful places he had seen as he traveled across this country that he loves so much. He was a member of Delano Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife and “ the love of his life”, Betty Simpson Trotter Miller; stepson, Bill Trotter and his wife Christine Bryson Trotter, four brothers, Howard G. Miller, Earl E. Miller, James E. Miller, and Clifford H. Miller.
Survivors include sons, Kenneth Miller and Kris Miller of Colorado, Robert Miller and his wife Sue of Pennsylvania; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three step-great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.
Family and friends will assemble at Serenity Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. until on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 and proceed to Mars Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. graveside service. A white dove release ceremony and full military honors will conclude the services.
