Linda Pearl Byrd Spake age 74 of Sweetwater, passed away on Saturday evening, August 19, 2017, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. Born on October 2, 1942 to the late James Willie Byrd and Veda Maude Taylor Byrd, she native of Georgia, she had spent a majority of her life in Florida before moving to Monroe County about fifteen years ago. She enjoyed gardening, making custom drapes and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 31 years, Wesley Brent Spake of Sweetwater; children and spouses, Randi Lynn and Carl King of Sweetwater and Charles Ashley and Valeria Plate of West Palm Beach, Florida; grand-children, Marissa Nicole Buchanan, Katie Lynn King, Carl Chester King, Jr., Adrian Albert Plate, and Andrew Alexander Plate; great-grandchildren, Kylan Christopher, Aubrey Nicole Buchanan; brother, James Lawton Byrd of Sweetwater; and a host of extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life and Home Going for Linda Spake will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2017, in the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home and Brother Jerald Lynn officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the service.
