Dolores Montkahaus

Dolores Montkahaus, age 91, of Benton, Tennessee passed away on September 6, 2017 at Starr Regional Medical Center - Athens Campus. She was born in Detroit, Michigan to the late Frank Wasik and Elizabeth Darge Wasik and moved to Benton in 1972. She was of the Catholic faith.
Dolores received her nurses' aide certification for both Michigan and Tennessee and worked in the nursery ward in Michigan for a number of years. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death along with her parents, by her husband William "Bill" Montkahaus.
Dolores is survived by three sons, William Fredrick (Fred) Montkahaus of Etowah, David Montkahaus of Townsend, Michigan, and Robert A. (Sam) Montkahaus of Benton; three daughters, Darlene Katz of St. Claire Shore, Michigan, Jane Hoyts of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Mary A. Ballew of Benton; seven grandchildren, Kathy, Joey, Suzanne, Darrell, David, Quincy, and Alana; and three great-grandchildren, Drake, Sydney, Keyland.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 15, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. in the Mountain View Baptists Church Cemetery.
There will be no formal visitation.
