Wesley Brent Spake, age 59 of Sweetwater Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the Fort Loudon Medical Center. He was born in Lake Worth, Florida on December 17, 1957, and spent the majority of his life in West Palm Beach, Florida before moving to Sweetwater, approximately 14 years ago. He was a member of the Shelton Grove Baptist Church, a member of Plumbers & Pipefitters Union #630; and he loved woodworking, fishing and spending time with family and friends.
Wesley is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Spake on August 19, 2017; and one brother, David Spake.
He is survived by his parents, Bill & Millie Spake of Waynesville, North Carolina; two children, Randie Lynn King (Carl) of Sweetwater and Charles Ashley Plate (Valeria) of West Palm Beach, Florida; six grandchildren, Crystal Lee Rohwer, Marissa Buchanan, Katie Lynn King, Carl C. King, Jr.;Adrian Albert Plate, and Andrew Alexander Plate; five great-grandchildren, Kylan Kurfiss, Aubrey Buchanan, Kaylee Lynn Ray, Daniel Ray, and Tristian Rohwer; three brothers, Gregory Spake, Richmond, VA, Randall Spake (Debbie), Hudson, OH, Larry Wertz, West Palm Beach, Florida, and one brother-in-law, Jimmy Byrd of Sweetwater.
A Memorial service will be conducted on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with Brother Tim Wilson officiating.
