Bettie Bivens Burger, age 63 of Tellico Plains, TN. Went home to be with the Lord at 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2018, quietly surrounded by her husband, Ronny Burger, daughter, Kendra and Brian Buckna, and grandson John E. Buckna III.
She was a member of the Druid Hill Baptist Church.
Bettie is preceded in death by her father, J D Bivens; mother, Artie Bivens; brother, Walter Bivens; and sister, Beulah Faye Bivens.
Survivors include husband, Ronny Burger; daughter Kendra (Brian) Buckna; grandson, John E. Buckna III, all of Tellico Plains; sister, Mary Bivens of Ballplay; brother, Carl (Gail) Bivens of Vonore; brother Junior (Pam) Bivens of Maryville; Sister, Lola (Charles) Goss of Benton; sister, Joyce (Dennis) Capehart of Jamestown, TN; sister-in-law, Pat (Denny) Burger of Tellico Plains; brother- in-law, James Burger of Greenville, TN; and Sister-in-law Aileen Queen of Dalton, GA. And a host of nieces and nephews also survive.
A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, January 18, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Serenity Funeral Home of Etowah, with Brother Eddie McDaniel and Brother Tim Davis Officiating.
Interment will follow on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 12 noon in the New Providence Cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the funeral from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
