Eddie Vann, age 59 of Etowah, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 in Nashville, Tennessee. A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, he loved dancing, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. Eddie was a member of Community Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Elizabeth Katherine Ark Vann; sisters, Lois Barker and Nina Vann; and brothers, Sam Vann and David Vann.
Survivors include his fiancé, Gwanda Meadows, of Chicago; siblings and spouses, Eston Vann of Niota, Annie and David Cranfield of Etowah, Gussy Vann ; Danny and Joyce Vann of Etowah, Freddy Vann, Martha and Walter Wisneiski of Michigan, Virgil and Tonyah Vann of Sweetwater, Lisa and Steve Evans of Meigs County, Robert Vann of Sweetwater, and Joe and Brenda Vann of Meigs County ; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the Community Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-9p.m. on Monday, February 12, 2018 at the home of Lisa and Steve Evans, 634 County Road 181 Decatur, Tennessee 37322.
