Wilma Kincaid Bledsoe age 83, of Etowah, passed away on Friday evening, April 20, 2018 at Signature Healthcare in Cleveland. Born on March 17, 1935 in East Etowah to the late Norman and Grace Tallent Kincaid , she was a lifelong resident of McMinn County and was a member of Goodsprings Baptist Church. Wilma retired as Vice-President after 48 years of service from Cantrell Bank ( now First Volunteer) and a member of The National Association of Banking Women and a member of Xi Delta Zeta Beta Sigma Phi Sorority . She graduated from Etowah High School and received her bachelor’s degree from the LSU School of Banking. Wilma was a loving daughter, mother, aunt, devoted sister and friend who helped those in need in the Etowah community through her job and her life serving as treasurer for several local boards, a representative of the American Cancer Society and as financial guardian for several people over the years. She was devoted to her family by helping raise her grandchildren. Wilma loved to provide food and meals from her garden. Most of all, she loved having her extended family for Sunday dinner, Holidays and family reunions.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Virginia Lynn Bledsoe and a brother, Sonny Kincaid.
Wilma is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, J.C. Bledsoe; children, Mike ( Cathy) Bledsoe of Decatur, Kathy Bledsoe of Columbia, South Carolina, and Lisa (Greg) Rickman of Etowah; grandchildren, GarriLe ( Jeff) Cantrell, Jessica ( Barrett) Hancock, Gena (Michael) Shirk, Logan Rickman, Kailee Rickman, Julie(Kevin) Taulbee, Lisa ( David) Peck, Ashley ( Jeremy) Justice; brothers, Norman Ray Kincaid( Jameseanna) of Claxton, Joe Ben ( Faye) Kincaid of Etowah, and Steve (Sarah) Kincaid of Linsdale ; brother in law, Allen Bledsoe of Lizella, Georgia, sister-in-law, Zephia ( Jerry) Eller of Macon, Georgia. Fifteen great- grandchildren, three great- great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends also survive.
A Graveside service will be conducted at 2p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Green Hill Cemetery with Brother Jack Burns officiating. A White Dove Release Ceremony will conclude the services.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday April 24, 2018 at the funeral home.
