Claude Franklin Williams, age 71, of Madisonville, passed away Thursday October 10, 2018 at U.T. Hospital in Knoxville. He was a native and lifelong resident of Monroe County and was of Church of God faith. He ran the Deli at the Magic Mart in Madisonville for several years, and enjoyed fishing and riding motorcycles.
He is preceded in death by parents, James and Eloise Mosier Williams; three brothers, Donald Williams, Ronnie Williams and Marvin Williams; three sisters, Pinky Baines, Anna Jean Hamilton, and infant Elveana Williams.
Claude is survived four sisters, Sue Dunn of Ringgold, GA, Ruth (Tommy) Morrisey of Knoxville, Roxie (Clifford) Wilson of Etowah, and Charlene (Vernon) Tidwell of Trenton, AL. Several nieces and nephews also survive. His former spouse and best friend, Linda Williams of Madisonville also survives.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Hiwassee Church of God in Madisonville.
