Lucille Black Martin, age 92, of Englewood, TN passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Starr Regional Health and Rehab Center of Etowah.
She was born on April 6, 1926, to the late S.N. and Geneva Roberts Black of Englewood. She was employed at Beaunit (now Johns Manville) Corporation, and she retired in 1991 from Athens Stove Foundry. Lucille was a member of First Baptist Church of Englewood.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sisters; Hazel Watson of Athens, Reva Brown and Dorothy Wilson (both of California); and a niece, Sharon Watson of Athens.
Lucille is survived by her son, Buster (Charlyn) Martin of Etowah, and daughter Jimmie Sue (Sherman) Williams of Athens; grandsons, Chris (Misty) and Nicky Martin of Etowah, Sean (Emily) Williams of Murfreesboro, TN; great- granddaughter, Brooklyn Martin of Etowah and great-grandsons, Deacon Williams, Courtland and Spencer Parker of Murfreesboro; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank two very special caregivers, Wanda Yarber and Nancy Disspain; and Dr. Ghazali Kahn and the nurses and staff of the nursing home.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Serenity of Etowah Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Brother Ronnie Lane of Vonore officiating.
Pallbearers will be Chris and Nicky Martin, Sean Williams, Zack Munger, George Carroll, and Danny Martin.
A Graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 15 at 11:00 a.m. at McMinn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service.
