Brenda Lee McCaslin

Brenda Lee Newberry McCaslin, age 77, of Tellico Plains, passed away Sunday morning, November 18, 2018 at her residence. Born on June 5, 1941 to the late Charles and Eula Green Newberry, she was a native and lifelong resident of East Tennessee and a member of Englewood United Methodist Church. She was very artistic and loved antiquing and spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherri Lee McCaslin and her brother, Brent Newberry.

Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years, Johnny Mac McCaslin; children, Suzanne McCaslin of Etowah and Mike McCaslin of Tellico Plains; grandsons, Tyler Johnson and Matt(Cindy) Johnson both of Etowah; great-grandchildren, Sierra, Sara, and Kayley Johnson; and sister, Mary(Phil) Wooten of Cleveland.

A Celebration of Life and Home going for Brenda McCaslin will be held at 7p.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2018 from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with Pastor John Oldham officiating.

A Graveside service will be at 11a.m. Thursday, November 22, 2018 at Sunrise Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5-7p.m on Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
