Ray Junior Robinson

Ray Junior Robinson, age 73 of Tellico Plains, TN, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018 at his residence. He was born and raised in McMinn County and had lived in Monroe County the last 13 years. Ray was the son of Howard Ben Robinson and Edna Mae Woods. He was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church and was a Baptist Deacon for 40 years. He worked for McKeehan Chair Company and Athens Furniture for many years. Ray never met a stranger, loved singing, serving the Lord and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents (named above); two brothers, Carey Robinson and Bobby Robinson.
Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Bonnie Moses Robinson; two children, Douglas Robinson (finance’ Shadow Anderson) of Athens and Brandon (Mindy) Robinson of Ooltewah; three grandchildren, Thomas Anderson, Tiffany Anderson and Mariah Anderson Robinson; Siblings, Lillian Frye of Loudon, Helen Sluter of Athens, Marvin Robinson of Niota, Brenda (Ralph) Carroll of Lenoir City, and Ronnie Robinson of Niota. Several nieces and nephews, cousins and other extended family also survive.

The Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday, November 23, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Strickland officiating.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
