Cynthia Harrison Anderson

Cynthia Denise Harrison Anderson, age 46, resident of Arlington, Virginia and a former resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2007, in Arlington after an extended illness. Cynthia was born in Cleveland on June 16, 1961. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cleveland and attended Cleveland High School and graduated from Albemarle High School in Charlottesville, VA. She attended Mary Baldwin College, George Washington University and University of Richmond. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clarence and Gladys Harrison and Jimmie Fowler and one uncle, Frank Fowler. She was a beloved wife and mother.

She is survived by her husband, Douglas Murdoch Anderson, daughter, Courtney and son, Clarke all of Arlington, VA; parents, Harold and Frances Harrison of Knoxville, TN; brothers, Tim and Todd Harrison of Knoxville, TN; maternal grandparents, J. R. (who passed away on December 31, 2007) and Ruth Burditt of Cleveland; father and mother-in-law, Robert and Pat Anderson of St. Petersburg, FL; sisters in law, Ursula Hill and Jacqueline McKnelly; aunts, Mary Helen Wright, Janice Fowler and Diane Newton; uncles, Kenneth Harrison and Billy Wright, Sr. of Cleveland, TN; cousins, Danny, Mike, Barry and Jamie Fowler of Cleveland; Kellye Harrison Stamatiadis of Cleveland; Kristi Wright Kitamura of Los Angeles, CA and Billy Wright of Nashville, TN; nephew, Brandon Harrison of Morristown and niece, Victoria Harrison of Knoxville, TN. Also left to cherish her memory are her special friends, Meg Chase of Cleveland, TN and Melissa Redmond of Richmond, VA.

Due to a lengthy illness in the life of Cynthia, a college fund has been set up to assist her children. The family requests memorials please be made to the Anderson Childrens College Fund, c/o Bank of Cleveland 75 First Street NW, Cleveland, TN 37311

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 7, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Herb Conley officiating. Interment will be held private.

The family will receive friends Monday, from 12 Noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Grissom Funeral Home.
