Mary Carpenter Annand, age 91, of Knoxville, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Shannondale Health Care Center. She had resided at Homewood Residence at Deane Hill for several years.
She was born May 12, 1918 in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She was a former resident of Ducktown and Cleveland, TN. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Cleveland. Preceded in death by husband, Albert Annand, daughter, Marjorie Annand, and parents, Charles and Jessie Carpenter.
Survived by son and daughter-in-law, David and Tess Annand, and daughter and son-in-law, Judy and James Jenkins; and grandchildren Carrie Annand of Washington, D.C., John Annand of Williamsburg, VA, Jay Montague of Nashville, TN, and Matthew Montague and Michael Jenkins, both of Knoxville.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 17, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home, 3010 N.Ocoee St., Cleveland, TN 37312 with Rev. Joe Tanner officiating. The family will receive friends preceding the funeral at 1:00pm.
Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Cleveland following the funeral.
