Eric Avery

Eric E. Avery, 55, a resident of Roanoke, VA for twenty-five years, and formerly of Cleveland, passed away Monday, December 25, 2006 in Roanoke at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Mabel Avery.

Surviving are his daughter and son in law, Angel and Anthony Sherlin; granddaughter, Madison Sherlin; brother, Terry Avery and wife Gudny; sister, Janet Ensley and husband, Pat, all of Cleveland; nephew, Chris Ensley and wife, Tina; and nieces Cassie Collins and husband Denny, and Carrie Ann Rayburn and husband, Shane.

A memorial service will be held Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Reverend Gary Sears officiating. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 200 Central Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37403 or by phone at 423/778-4300, or to the charity of your choice.

The family will receive friends Friday from 5-6:30 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
