Ethel Mae Easley Bandy, age 77, resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Monday evening, January 12, 2009, in a Ducktown, TN nursing home facility. She was of the Baptist faith and she was a member of Bethel Baptist Tabernacle. She was formerly employed with Broad Street United Methodist Church as a child caregiver. She loved to sew and was an avid doll collector. She loved to sing, along with her late husband, in church services. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Bandy and one brother, LaVaughn W. Easley and her parents, John William Easley and Lillie LuElla Bryant Easley.
She is survived by her loving daughter and son in law, Pamela Diane and Robert Rathbone, Cleveland, TN, one sister and brother in law, Katherine and James Galloway, Epworth, GA, and twin brother, Edward Ray Easley, Cleveland, TN; two grandchildren, Tony and Paul DeLay and two great grandchildren, Abbey DeLay and Tony DeLay, Jr. all of Cleveland, TN. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 15, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ernest German officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 14, 2009, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to www.grissomfh.net
