Pauline C. Bearden

Pauline Chase Bearden, age 96, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday evening, November 28, 2006 in a local healthcare facility after a short illness. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was a school teacher for 31 years in the Bradley County school system. She was preceded in death by her husband, John G. Bearden.

Survivors include two nephews, Donald C. Broyles and Thom Chase, both of Chattanooga; three nieces, Joann Chase Turner of Lilburn, GA, Negal Lagrew of Lexington, KY and Angie Seaton of Columbia, TN; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 12 noon at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Leann Crandall officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 3425 N. Ocoee Street, Cleveland, TN 37312.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home and Friday from 11-12 noon prior to the service.
