Earl M. Bennett, a longtime resident of Bradley County, peacefully passed away on December 30, 2006, at the age of 94, with his loving family by his side. He attended Big Springs Baptist Church. He was a well known electrician and owned Bennett Electric Service for many years. Earl loved his family, was an avid bowler in earlier years, and he loved to hunt. He was a member of the Cleveland Lodge #134 Free and Accepted Masons. He was preceded in death by his parents, Abner and Emma Stansil Bennett, one son, Dr. Bobby Bennett, three brothers, Roy, Frank and Leon and five sisters, Margie, Ola V. Alma, Mae and Nora and great granddaughter, Jamie Kellermann
Survivors include his loving wife, Geneva Sinor Bennett, to whom he was married for 70 years, and his four daughters, Mildred Cannon, Judy Rodgers, Linda Kellermann and JoAnn Lyles. He has one living sister, Virginia Worley of Montgomery, AL. He also has 14 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. David Riggs officiating. The service will begin with Masonic Funeral Rites. Interment will be held privately for family following the funeral service. Hank Kellermann, Phil Cannon, Randy Rodgers, Michael Kellermann, Sammy Sullivan and Michael Lyles will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Lyles and Bobby Bennett, Jr. Memorials may be made to the Faith Memorial Church.
