Rosemary Friece Birdwell

Rosemary F. Birdwell passed peacefully at her home in Kennesaw, GA January 28, 2010. Mrs. Birdwell was born December 28, 1949 in Westerville, Ohio. Se was preceded in death by her parents, David E. and Mary Louise Friece and one granddaughter, Johannah Barnes.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Leonard (Leo) Birdwell, sons Scott (Abbie) and Mike (Jena) Birdwell of Cleveland, TN, daughter Dawn (Steve) Batson of Graceville, FL and 7 grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers David and John Friece of Ohio, sisters Doris (Ralph) Gordon, Karen Hollis, Brenda Jenkins and Barbara (Steve) Randall all of Ohio and Sue (Jon) Kelley of Hampshire, IL.

Funeral services are Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Scott Birdwell, Michael Birdwell, Tommy Haley, Troy Bell, Brian Bell, Tommy Hollis, Bobby Hollis and Jon Hart serving as pallbearers. Grandchildren, Jessica and Jacob Barnes, Dylan and Zack "Bubbs" Birdwell, Andrew, Caleb and Noah Birdwell and Ivan Gregory Bell will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family request in lieu of flowers, please make memorials to St. Judes Children's Research or The Salvation Army.

The family will receive friends Monday, February 1, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, from 12 Noon until the time of service.
