Mary Blackburn

Mary Ellen McCommon Blackburn, age 69, resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at her residence. She was a seamstress for over 30 years. She was of the baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil A. Blackburn, father, Richard M. McCommon and one brother and one sister. She is survived by one daughter, Melanie Trotter, Cleveland, three sons, Kenneth J. Mears, Bellflower, CA, Mark Allen Camp, Decatur, TN and David O. Camp, Chattanooga, TN; mother, Vieva A. McCommon, Hixson, TN, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren; four sisters, Barbara Vaughn, Chattanooga, TN, Patricia Chandler, Hixson, TN, Theresa Karen Green, Hixson, TN and Cathy Turner, Arcadia, FL.; one brother, W. R. McCommon, Soddy Daisy, TN; several nieces and nephews also survive. Her body was donated to medical science. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 13, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at Samples Memorial Baptist Church in Cleveland, TN.
