Elizabeth (Dibby) Webb Bolen, 88, a resident of Charleston, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2006 in a local hospital. She was born on September 6, 1918. Other than the time spent living at Morningside Assisted Living Home and Cleveland Care and Rehabilitation Center, Dibby was a life-long resident of Charleston. She was retired from Duplan Corporation in Cleveland and had also served previously as City Recorder in Charleston. She was a member of Charleston United Methodist Church, Calhoun Chapter 187 OES and the Chattanooga Area Past Matrons and Patron Association Order of Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lafferty Bolen; parents, Mr. & Mrs. Jake Webb; sisters, Jessie Coulter and Halcie Houston; brothers, James, Paul and Edward Webb.

She is survived by step-daughters and their spouses, Angelynn Seaton and Kent of Columbia, TN and Nigal Lagrew and David of Lexington, KY and sisters-in-law Mary Louise Smith of Camden, TN, Helen Webb of Huntsville, AL, and Doris Webb of Hendersonville, TN. She is also survived by five step-grandchildren and their spouses, Steven and Jennifer Seaton, Brad and Holly Seaton, Ann and John Farrell, Susie and Russ Williamson, and Jane Farrow; and seven step-great grandchildren. Other survivors include nieces and nephews and their spouses, Doris Ann and Reed Wright and Ken and Dianne Webb, all of Cleveland, Beth and Bob Simcox of Melbourne Beach, FL, Virginia and Gaylon Branam of Somerville, AL, Paul Webb, Jr. of Broadlands, VA and Doug and Wilma Coulter of King George, VA.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Dr. Robert Haskins officiating. Paul Webb, Jr. will speak on behalf of the family. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Tim Dillard, Eddie Goins, Steven Seaton, Carl Colloms, Bobby Wright and Ron Arnett serving as pallbearers. A Trinity Dove Release Ceremony will conclude the interment service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Charleston United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 5, Charleston, TN 37310.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home and Saturday from 12 noon " 2 p.m. prior to the funeral.
