Vertie M. Boring

Vertie M. Boring, age 78, resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Saturday evening, October 20, 2007, in a local hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Boring; parents, Manuel B. and Roxie Grooms Pope; one son, Harvey Ray Boring; one daughter, Sandra Boring; four brothers, Andrew, Paul, Philip and Cecil Pope; three sisters, Alice Roark, Ruby Weathers, and Ann Lenoir.

Survivors include two sisters, Mary Womack of Columbia, SC and Mealor Moore of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Grady Simpson officiating. Interment will follow at Lee Cemetery with Aaron White, Keith White, Kenneth Roark, Bryan Roark, Zack Roark and Donald Roark serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
