Essie Brackin

Essie Ownby Mayes Brackin, 82, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, August 06, 2010 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar H. and Maudie Ownby; first husband, Jack Mayes, Sr. formerly of Pigeon Forge, TN and second husband, Dott Brackin, formerly of Cleveland; two sisters and one brother, all formerly of Cleveland.

Survivors include three children, Jack Jr. and wife Debbie Mayes, of Knoxville, TN, John and wife Mary Mayes of Santee, CA, and Linda Evans and husband Junior of Etowah, TN; four grandsons, three granddaughters, and one great-grandson; three brothers and one sister, all of Cleveland; special niece Rebecca Varnell, with whom she made her home, and other nieces and nephews.
