Edwin R. Brock

Edwin R. (Poss) Brock, Sr., 80, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2007 in a local hospital. He was a member of the McDonald United Methodist Church. He retired from Western Union and was a veteran of the United States Army. He attended Bradley Central High School where he was a star football player. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray Leonard Brock, Sr. and Ila Bailey Brock; and one brother, The Honorable Ray L. Brock, Jr.

Survivors include one son and daughter in law, Edwin Ralph Brock, Jr. and Sandra of McDonald, TN; three daughters and sons in law, Diana and Tommy Ledford, Janet and Marty Pearson, and Susan and Bill Conway, all of McDonald; three brothers, Charles (Bill) Brock of McDonald, Paul (Buddy) Brock and Cleveland and Calvin Brock and his wife Barbara, also of Cleveland; three sisters, Inez McCarter, Charlotte Albritton and husband Don, and Gladys Brown and husband Laddie, all of McDonald; ten grandchildren, Jonathan Brock, Allen Ledford, Paula Robb, Charles Cates, Rachael Johnston, Renee Schwartz, Aaron Schwartz, Adrianna Schwartz, Hannah Schwartz, and Jacob Schwartz; two great grandchildren, Jessie Robb and Lukas Cates; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Miracle, Rev. Janet Geitner, and Rev. David Graves officiating. Interment will follow in Lee Cemetery in McDonald with grandchildren serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the McDonald United Methodist Church.
