J.W. Jake Brock

J. W. Jake Brock, age 79, resident of Ocoee, TN, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2007, in a local hospital. He was a member of the Welcome Valley Baptist Church in Benton, TN. He was a well known automobile dealer for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Myrtle Brock, one son, Roger Brock and one sister, Novella True.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Betty Brock, Ocoee, TN; one daughter, Janice Brock, Benton, TN; brother and sister in law, Elton and Iola Brock, Benton, TN; sister, Oberia Dixon, Etowah, TN; five grandchildren, Scotty Brock, Ocoee, TN, Janet Richey, New Tazwell, TN, John Ownbey, Julie Durham and Misty Brock all of Cleveland, TN. Eleven great grandchildren, Dillon Keith Brock, Hayden, Kambryn and Raleigh Ownbey, Alexis Durham, Haley Wilson, Christian and Selina Brock all of Cleveland, TN; Holly Melton, Riley and Macy Richey of New Tazwell, TN; one great great granddaughter, Emma Melton, New Tazwell, TN; mother of grandson Scotty Brock, Linda Wilson, Cleveland, TN; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Moore and Rev. Bill Beaty officiating. Interment will follow in Benton Cemetery with James Wilson, Billy Trew, Denny Trew, David Clark, Curtis Trew and Robert Ross serving as pallbearers.
