Pauline Burns Brock

Pauline Burns Brock, age 77, resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Wednesday morning, March 26, 2008, in a local hospital. She was of the Methodist faith and was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church in Wescosville, PA where she was very active in the church choir and Sweet Adelines (Womens Choral Group). She was active in Home Demonstration Club in Bradley County, TN. Mrs. Brock was a 1948 graduate of Bradley Central High School. She had been employed with Sears in the credit department. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Paul Burns and Dossie Scott Burns Dixon, step father, Charlie Dixon, and the father of her children, Edwin R. Brock, Sr.

She is survived by one son and daughter in law, Edwin Ralph Brock, Jr. and Sandra; three daughters and sons in law, Diana and Tommy Ledford, Janet and Marty Pearson and Susan and Bill Conway all of McDonald, TN; four sisters and brothers in law, Mary Lee Haney, Sarah and Jim Caylor and Charlene and David Williams all of Cleveland and Barbara and Randy Barnes, Ocoee, TN; one half brother, Paul Burns, Jr., Knoxville, TN; ten beloved grandchildren, Jonathan Brock, Allen Ledford, Paula Robb, Charles Cates, Rachael Johnston, Renee Schwartz, Aaron Schwartz, Adrianna Schwartz, Hannah Schwartz and Jacob Schwartz; two precious great grandchildren, Jessie Robb and Lukas Cates. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 29, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. David Graves and Rev. Amy Nutt officiating. Interment will follow in Lee Cemetery in McDonald, TN with grandsons serving as pallbearers.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Ooltewah United Methodist Church Missions Program.
