James Odis Brown

James Odis Brown, age 67, resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2008, in a local hospital. He was employed with Bendix. He was preceded in death by his parents, Odis Lee Brown and Essie Starkey Brown, one brother, Bill Brown and one sister, Sue Simons.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nellie Brown, Cleveland, TN; three sons, Jimmy Edward Brown, Etowah, TN, Gary Douglas Brown, Cleveland, TN and Jeffrey Lee Brown, Athens, TN; 2 step sons, Franklin Eugene Myers and Paul Kevin Myers both of Cleveland, TN; one special daughter, Joni Brock Creasman, Cleveland, TN; two sisters, Stella Vance and Lillie Swafford both of Athens, TN; one sister in law, Jeanette Brown, Niota, TN. Eleven grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 31, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Brock officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Chad Gibson, Wayne Myers, Billy Brown, David Vance, Robert Creasman, Terry Myers and Robert Myers serving as pallbearers.
