Gladys Evelyn Bullard, age 64, resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Friday evening, March 30, 2007, at the residence with her loving family by her side. Mrs. Bullard was a member of the Cleveland Baptist Temple. She was a seamstress and was formerly employed with American Uniform Company. Another one of her great passions in life were her Schnauzers. She bred Schnauzers for many years. She was the owner and operator of the Golden Needle. She provided custom wedding dresses and riding outfits among her many other talents.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert D. Bullard, one son and daughter in law, Scottie and Ginger Fain; two daughters and sons in law, Audrea and Kris Holder and Lucinda and Tracy Ownby all of Cleveland, TN; one very special grandson, Blake Holder. Her parents, Rev. Bud and Eula Paul West, Cleveland; three brothers and spouses, Lonnie West and Elianne, Syler City, North Carolina, Walter West, Cleveland and Ralph West and Pat, Cleveland; two sisters and spouses, Carolyn Burris and E. L. and Judy Toomey and Joe all of Cleveland, TN. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 2, 2007, at 3:00 p.m. at the Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. J. D. Betts officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 1, 2007, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Grissom Funeral Home who has charge of arrangements. Phone 423.476.8575 for more information.
