Kathryn Wright Chambers

Kathryn Wright Chambers, age 84, of Cleveland TN, died Saturday, August 29, 2009 at her home.

Mrs. Chambers was born January 12, 1925 in Jamestown TN. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Cleveland. She graduated from York Institute in 1942 and attended Middle Tennessee State College.

Mrs. Chambers is survived by one daughter, Susan B. Hardesty and husband Scott of Longmont CO, one step-daughter, Barbara Chambers Denman and husband Keith of Rockford, TN and one step-son, Richard Evans Chambers of North Carolina; ten grandchildren: Garrett Bradford Fountain and Brent James Fountain of San Diego, CA; Mandy Wilshire Morgan, Taylor Bradford Wilshire and Aimee Wilshire Wilson, all of Rifle, CO; Ginger Watts, Wendy Aldridge, Rick, Jason and Mark Chambers all of Knoxville, TN; and one brother Richard Wright of Algood, TN; fourteen great-grandchildren, three nephews and one niece.

Mrs. Chambers was preceded in death by parents Jasper Dewey Wright and Ethel Mae Taylor Wright Mingus, first husband Ernest Bradford Wilshire and husband James S. (Dick) Chambers, who died April 14, 2009, sister Lola Wright Dayhuff, brother Warren D. Wright who died in action in WWII, daughter Karen Wilshire Fountain and son Stephen Wright Wilshire.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 5, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Andrew Henry officiating. Interment will be held at 3:00 p.m. CST at Taylor Place Cemetery in Jamestown, TN. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
