Rev. Wayne P. Chelette, 71, a resident of Cleveland went to his heavenly home, Wednesday, September 26, 2007. He was a retired Church of God minister and pastored in East Canton, OH, Shreveport, LA and Lake Orion, MI. He retired in 1999 to Cleveland and was an Associate Pastor of Care Ministry for the Mt. Olive Church of God. He attended Lee University from1955 to1957 before joining the U.S. Army where he served in Korea. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Hilda (Hattaway) Chelette, his father-in-law, Bert Perry and two nephews, Dale Chelette and Kenneth Chelette. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne (Perry) Chelette, son and daughter-in-law, Steve (Chris) Chelette, daughter and son-in-law, Rene (David) Garner, five grandsons, Jesse, Josh and Joey Chelette, Michael and Benny Garner, mother-in-law, Delia Perry, all of Cleveland, TN. Brothers Lacy Chelette of Dry Prong, LA, Bernell (Audrey) Chelette of, Colfax, LA, sister, Minnie Blair of Colfax, LA as well as several nieces and nephews and many, loving friends. A "Celebration of Victory" for Wayne Chelette will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 29, 2007 at Mt. Olive Church of God with the Reverends, Gary Sears, Dr. Floyd Carey and Claude Thayer. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive cemetery.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the Care Ministries of the Mt. Olive Church of God. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Saturday, at the Mt. Olive Church of God.
