Geneva Clonts, age 90, resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2009 in a local healthcare facility. She was of the Baptist faith. She was formerly employed with Burlington Industries and Jacks Kleen Rite. After her retirement, she was a caretaker and sitter for elderly people. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Clonts, parents, Robert Dunn and Edna McDonald and one sister, Juanita Harris and three brothers, Robert, John and Homer Dunn.
She is survived by one daughter, Charlotte Guyer and two sons and daughter in law, David Clonts and Wayne (Janice) Clonts, all of Cleveland, TN; three brothers and sisters in law, Julius (Oleta) Dunn, Crandall, GA, Clyde (Wanda) Dunn, Cleveland, TN and Randall (Jeraldine) Dunn, Chatsworth, GA; one sister and brother in law, Barbara (Rob) Flowers, Cleveland, TN; five grandchildren Lloyd Clonts, Dustin Clonts, Stacy Dickson, Steve Guyer and Emily Guyer. Three great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Bentley officiating. Interment will follow in Ft. Hill Cemetery with Roger Nipper, Randall Dunn, Larry Dunn, Jim Dickson, Dustin Clonts and Steve Guyer serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Grissom Funeral Home who has charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to www.grissomfh.net
