Golda Coleman, 84, a resident of Cleveland, peacefully finished her earthly race, after having kept the faith, and entered to her rest with her Lord on Saturday morning, September 12, 2009, at a Chattanooga hospital.
She was born on May 21, 1925, in Pike County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Troy Williamson and Maude Scoff Williamson, both of Pike County, Kentucky. Golda was a resident of Cleveland for the past eighteen years. She also resided in Sarasota, Florida, and in Greeneville, Tennessee prior to making Cleveland her home.
To her children she was one of those women mentioned in scripture whose beauty was not from outward adornment, but,
one of unfading beauty. One who was gentle, and possessed a quiet spirit, both of great worth in Gods sight.
She is survived by her husband, Sylvan Coleman, and two sons: Herbert B. Cline III and his wife, Shannon, of Cleveland, and Rodney E. Cline of Lovely, Kentucky. Also, step-daughter Myrtle Mae Andrews of Orlando, Florida. Golda was the proud grandmother to five wonderful grandchildren: Heather E. Cline of Cleveland, Bethany and Amber Cline, both of Charleston, W.V., Monica Cline of Huntington, W.V., and Rodney E. Cline Jr. of Williamson, W.V. She also had six great grandchildren.
Mrs. Coleman was a member of the First Church of God in Greenville, Tennessee.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. in Greeneville, Tennessee. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Grissom Funeral Home.
