William Darel Cox, Sr.

William Darel Cox, Sr., age 69, resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at his residence with his loving family by his side. A long time resident of Joliet, Illinois, Mr. Cox was a member of the Elks Lodge and he was a truck driver with the Teamsters Local Union #179. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira Cox and Edith Bennett Cox and one son, William D. Cox, Jr. and one sister, Mabel Harris.

He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Cox, one son, Anthony Cox and one daughter, Martha Cox all of Cleveland, TN; five brothers, Jim Cox, Sherwood, IL, Dave Cox, Neil Cox and Glen Cox all of Grafton, West Virginia and Bob Cox of Deleware; two sisters, Martha Bragg, Sherwood, IL and Mary Litzinger, Youngstown, Ohio; three grandchildren, Matthew John Cox, Emmerlean Ralph and Jason Brandon Ralph. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

There will be a graveside service at Boanerges Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date.
