Michael Louie DeCaro, age 82, resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord February 3, 2008 peacefully with his loved ones around him. Born in New York on May 6, 1925, he later lost his father when he was a child. He was one of four siblings raised in poverty by his Italian mother, who was newly arrived in America. As a young man, he served in the US Navy during WWII as a Machinist's Mate aboard LCI 964 in the Pacific. After the war, he was honorably discharged, and on Veteran's Day of 1950 he married Kathryn, his beloved wife of 57 years. Together they raised five children who adore them; Eddie, Mickey, Suzanne, Tricia and Maureen. Louie taught them to do what was right, love for all you are worth, work hard, and the rest would take care of itself. He was one of the greatest generations. He and Kathryn relocated to Cleveland in December 2004 to reside with his daughter.
Louie is survived by his wife Kathryn, and five children Ed DeCaro (and wife Ann Sullivan) of Santa Barbara, CA, Michael DeCaro, Jr of El Cajon, CA, Suzanne Davison (and husband Ed) of El Cajon, CA, Patricia Olmos of Chula Vista, CA, and Maureen Beech (and husband Clark) of Cleveland, TN.
