Mildred W. Dennis

Mildred Dennis, age 82, resident of Cleveland and formerly of Athens, TN, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2007, in a local nursing home, where she had made her home for the past three years with her special friends who she loved and enjoyed spending time with. She was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ross Dennis who passed away September 24, 2005. They were married for 48 years. Also her parents, Tim and Mae Womac, 2 brothers, Gene Womac and Raymond Womac, 1 sister, Thelma Howard.

She is survived by one daughter and son in law, Geneva and Willis Fox of Cleveland, sons and daughters in law, Roy and Judy Dennis, Virginia, Jim and Terri Dennis of Maryland. Grandsons and spouses, Dewayne and Karen Bunch, Cleveland, Randy and Sandra Bunch, Cleveland, Rusty and Kathy Dennis, Virginia, Denny Dennis, Virginia, Tim and Terri Dennis of Maryland and Jamie Dennis and family, Brenda Thomas, Janice and Scott Jones of Cleveland and Michelle Shields of Maryland. 21 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Sister, Jesse Hall, Cleveland, brother, T. L. Womac and Laura of Riceville.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Luther Eslinger and Rev. Floyd Boggess officiating. Interment will be held on Sunday, September 30, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Ward Cemetery in Athens, Tennessee with grandsons, Clay Bunch, Pierce Bunch, Jesse Jones, Zach Thomas, Scott Jones, Randy Bunch, Dewayne Bunch and Rusty Dennis serving as pallbearers.
