Gordon Pappy Dills, age 86, resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2008, at his residence. He was a well known truck driver for over 60 years and owner/operator of Dills Trucking. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Lettie Dills, his first wife, Wilma Dills, step daughter, Vivian Bandy, brother, Bob Dills.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Margaret Dills, Cleveland, TN; son and daughter in law, Jimmy and Jerri Dills, two grandchildren, Greta and Chad Dills; three great grandchildren, Colby, Katelyn Smiley and C. J. Dills. Two sisters, Ann Hooper and Beverly Brockman and one brother, Warden Dills. 2 Step daughters, Kathy Hughes and Janice Flowers; one step son and his wife, Mike and Robin Henry. 10 step grandchildren, 16 step great grandchildren and 7 step great great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Davis officiating. Interment will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Colby Dills, Chad Dills, Mike Henry, Casey Henry, Jeremy Hughes and Dennis Bandy serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 10, 2008, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Grissom Funeral Home who has charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to www.grissomfh.net
