John Ferrell Edwards, age 70, resident of Cleveland, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Monday morning, June 30, 2008. He was retired from Batesville Casket Company where he was a truck driver. He was of the Christian faith and attended Cleveland Christian Fellowship. He was also a member of the Cowan Lodge, Knights Templar Lookout Commandery #14 and he was a plural member of the Charleston Masonic Lodge #484. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Boyd Edwards and Sammie Clemons Edwards. He will be missed by his family and many friends who loved him and shared in his life.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Pat Edwards; one son, Keith Edwards and wife Debi; one daughter, Nikki Calfee and her husband, Donnie, all of Cleveland. One brother, Billy Edwards of Pelham, Tennessee, two sisters, Ruth Roberts of Cleveland and Betty De Berry and husband, Tom, of Cleveland, Ohio; three grandchildren, Brandi Munger and husband Kevin and Tanner Calfee of Cleveland and Elisha Perry of Deckerd, TN. Four great grandchildren, Kyah and Kasey Munger and Gabriel Berry and Kaden Perry. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Strickland officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Donnie Calfee, Tanner Calfee, Kevin Munger, Dennis Goins, Dwayne Bowman and Bobby Patton serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Oliver and Alvin Howard.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 1, 2008, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Grissom Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent to www.grissomfh.net
