Frances German Ensley, 84, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010 in a local healthcare facility. She was a member of Hampton Drive Baptist Church. She retired from Magic Chef and was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 81.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, William (Bud) German and Carl L. Ensley; her parents Sid and Janie Ensley; three brothers, O. W. (Shorty) Ensley, Wint Ensley, and Edward Ensley; and three sisters, Beulah Waters, Bonnie Robertson, and Hazel Ensley.

Survivors include one son, Jerry German of McDonald, TN; daughter, Janice Watson and husband Boyce of Cleveland; two grandchildren, Becky German Corbitt and husband Larry of Savannah, GA, and Dr. Jamie Watson and wife Darlena of Young Harris, GA; two great grandchildren, Lacy and Trey Holmes of Savannah, GA; three brothers, Jack Ensley of Cleveland, Bert Ensley of Hixson, TN, and Billy Ensley of Elyria, OH; one sister, Judy Epperson of Chattanooga, TN, and her special friends and caregivers from Bradley Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Wilson, Rev. Earl Farris, and Rev. James Watson officiating. Pat Ensley, Randy Wooten, Bill McKinney, Paul McConnell, Jackie Robertson, and Brian Ensley will serve as pallbearers. Kevin Wilson, Robin Hamid and Paula Noble will be the singers and musician. Entombment will follow at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens.
