Ressie L. Farris

Ressie L. Farris, age 85, resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Wednesday evening, July 29, 2009, in a local hospital. She was a member of the Washington Avenue Baptist Church. She was formerly employed for 20 years with Captain Ds Restaurant in food preparation. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Farris, mother and father, Sam and Emma Bunch, brothers, Bill Bunch, John Bunch, Junior Bunch and sisters, Gertie Farris, Margie Bunch, Betty Murphy and one grandson, Brian Stinnett.

She is survived by one daughter and son in law, Jimmie Lou and Larry Stinnett, Cleveland and one son and daughter in law, Ricky and Pam Farris, Old Fort, TN, three grandchildren, Heath Dunn and wife Paula of McDonald, TN, Hailey Stewart and husband Matt, Old Fort, TN and Hannah and husband Eric Price, Reliance, TN; three great grandchildren, Chandler, Chloe and Carley Stewart; one sister and brother in law, Icye and Ralph Rominger and one brother, Bobby Bunch; one sister in law, Mildred Bunch and one brother in law, Floyd Murphy. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 31, 2009, at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Beecher White officiating. Interment will be held Saturday, August 2, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at Ft. Hill Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials please be made to the Washington Avenue Baptist Church.
